Restringing

Racket restringing

Your racket restrung and ready to collect at your club.

Why restringing matters

Strings lose tension from the day they are strung, even when they are not used. Dead strings can cost you feel, control and spin.

  • Turnaround is 2 to 5 days, depending on the day you book.
  • String options run from synthetic gut and multifilament through to polyester.

How often to restring: the rule of 12

12 ÷ sessions a week = months between restrings

Divide 12 by the number of times you play per week. For example, playing 4 times a week = restring every 3 months.

  1. 1 time a week: every 12 months

  2. 2 times a week: every 6 months

  3. 3 times a week: every 4 months

  4. 4 times a week: every 3 months

  5. 6 times a week: every 2 months
