Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Mike Palmer Tennis website and Academy Portal at mikepalmertennis.com (the Portal), and your participation in coaching sessions and programmes provided by Mike Palmer Tennis (MPT, we, us). By creating an account, signing in, booking a session, or using any of our tools, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Portal or book sessions.

These terms work alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.

The Portal is provided for players enrolled with MPT and their parents or guardians. Where a player is under 18, a parent or guardian must register on their behalf and is responsible for the account, for supervising the child's use of the Portal, and for agreeing to these terms on the child's behalf.

You are responsible for keeping your sign in details secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed your account.

We offer tennis coaching, academy programmes, strength and conditioning plans, match preparation, and racket restringing.

Sessions and services are booked through third party platforms:

• Court and coaching bookings are handled via ClubSpark (operated by the LTA) at our partner venues, currently Innerleithen LTC and St Boswells LTC.
• Racket restringing is booked via our scheduling page on Cal.com.

When you book through these platforms you also agree to their terms and their handling of your data. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or operation of third party booking platforms.

Coaching is delivered at our partner clubs, currently Innerleithen LTC and St Boswells LTC. Each club has its own safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety policies and its own designated safeguarding officer, in line with the policies of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).

Mike Palmer Tennis delivers coaching under contract to these clubs and upholds their policies and those of the LTA. We do not operate a separate set of safeguarding or welfare policies of our own.

By taking part, you agree to the relevant club's policies and complete that club's registration, including any consent, medical, or membership requirements it asks for. Any question about safeguarding or welfare at a venue should be directed to that club's designated safeguarding officer.

Prices for sessions and services are as shown at the point of booking.

Bookings, payments, cancellations, and refunds are handled through the third party platform used for that booking:

• Court and coaching bookings are subject to the terms of ClubSpark (LTA) and the relevant venue.
• Racket restringing bookings are subject to the terms of Cal.com.

Please review the cancellation and refund terms shown on those platforms at the time you book, as they apply to your booking.

The Portal gives players and parents access to tools that may include performance reports, an identity and development profile, strength and conditioning plans, and a match charting tool.

• Access to specific tools depends on what your coaching programme includes and may change over time.
• Content in the Portal (session scores, reports, plans, and feedback) is provided to support your coaching. It reflects a coach's professional judgement and is not a guarantee of any particular result or level of progress.
• The match charting tool stores match data on your own device. It is only shared with the coach when you choose to send it. You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter.

When using the Portal you agree not to:

• share your account or let anyone else sign in as you;
• attempt to access data belonging to other players or families;
• interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to breach the security of the Portal;
• copy, resell, or redistribute the Portal's tools, reports, or content without our permission.

We may suspend or remove access to the Portal if these terms are broken.

The Portal, its design, tools, coaching materials, reports, and other content are owned by MPT or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You may use them only for your own coaching within MPT. Match data you record and personal information you provide remain yours; see the Privacy Policy for how we handle it.

We aim to keep the Portal available and working, but we do not guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error free. We may update, change, or temporarily withdraw parts of the Portal, and we may update these terms from time to time. Where changes are significant we will make the updated terms available here, and continued use of the Portal means you accept them.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Coaching and physical training carry inherent physical risk. Health, consent, and medical disclosure are handled through the relevant club's registration and policies (see Safeguarding and club policies above). You are responsible for making sure the player is fit to take part and for keeping the club and coach informed of any medical condition or injury that may affect participation.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, or for losses arising from third party booking platforms or from your failure to keep your account secure.

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts. Mike Palmer Tennis operates within the framework of Tennis Scotland, the national governing body for tennis in Scotland.
